		THIS WEEK : Homework. Stay tuned for changes and additions! CHECK OUT BACK BOARD DAILY! Story this week: No story due to short week. We will understand elements of poetry. Students will read and write poetry. MONDAY – Math Review: X,Y coordinates, converting fractions to decimals, multiplying and dividing fractions. SUPPLEMENTAL PRACTICE P. 702 for Lesson 73 – all problems. MATH RETAKES TUESDAY – In class Math Quiz for Lessons 70 – 75. Study for Test on Wednesday. Reading comprehension/Poetry: See board for assignment. WEDNESDAY – READ EVERYDAY FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES! Expect to have a great week at school and and HOME! Practice our Character Traits! TRRFCC Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Respect, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. Dress Code Parents please make sure that your child continues to adhere to the dress code. Some issues we have started to notice are: - Undershirts must be red, white, or blue. No other colors allowed. - Belts are required (Miller’s Surplus has these for only $2) - Leggings may be worn but ONLY if they are white or blue. Shorts/skirts must be appropriate length, regardless if leggings are worn. - Jeans on Friday must be blue jeans (no other colors allowed) - Only the first Wednesday of every month is $1 Dress Down Day

THIRD-QUARTER 2010
* Parents: Our classroom is in need of Wide-Ruled paper and pencils. Thank you. MID-QUARTER PROGRESS REPORTS AND LETTERS WERE ISSUED ON FEBRUARY 5TH. PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT AND RETURN THE LETTER BY TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH. * BE PREPARED AND ORGANIZED FOR 3RD QUARTER! BRING YOUR PLANNERS TO CLASS. * SCIENCE PROJECTS: MANDATORY! It is required that all students submit a science project for a grade. It will be worth 50% of the grade for 3rd QTR. DUE DATES ARE POSTED ON OUR CLASSROOM BOARD. A Science Report Checklist will be sent home on Monday. Please check what you are missing. Science Projects due February 15th. * MATH RE-TAKES due no later than Thursday, February 11th. Any missed homework dated January 2010 will no longer be accepted for a grade. Please make sure you are staying on top of in class work and homework. Turn it in!

Students who wish to improve last week test scores need to correct missed problem for half a point and create a new similar problem for another half a point. TUESDAY – LESSON 67 – problems 1-30.
