Ms. Reyna’s 6th Grade Class News

SECOND QUARTER REPORT CARDS WILL BE SENT HOME ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16TH.

REMEMBER THAT WEDNESDAY IS HALF-DAY AND THERE WILL BE NO AFTER-SCHOOL CARE.

OUR CLASSROOM HOLIDAY PARTY IS ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15TH. MS. REYNA WILL SUPPLY THE PIZZA. WE WILL NEED CUPS, PAPER PLATES, NAPKINS, DRINKS, DESSERT, AND OTHER SNACKS. IF YOUR CHILD IS ABLE TO BRING ANY OF THESE ITEMS, I WILL HAVE A SIGN-UP SHEET IN CLASS.

Wow! We are half way through the school year! Enjoy your time off to be with family and friends!

THIS WEEK :

Monday – Math Lesson 46, Christmas Graphing. Students will have time to finish in class. Homework - only if students did not complete during class.

Tuesday – Review, Holiday Party, Holiday Craft, and “A Christmas Carol” Musical.

Wednesday – Centers. Homework: READ, READ, READ AND PRACTICE THE CHARACTER TRAITS.

· Expect to have a great week at school and HOME! Practice our Character Traits! TRRFCC Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Respect, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

Dress Code

Parents please make sure that your child continues to adhere to the dress code. Some issues we have started to notice are:

- Undershirts must be red, white,

or blue. No other colors allowed.

- Belts are required (Miller’s

Surplus has these for only $2)

- Leggings may be worn but ONLY

if they are white or blue. Shorts/skirts must be

appropriate length, regardless if

leggings are worn.

- Jeans on Friday must be blue

jeans (no other colors allowed)

- Only the first Wednesday of

every month is $1 Dress Down Day

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING 6TH GRADERS WHO TURNED IN ALL THEIR NOVEMBER HOMEWORK: ALANA, BREANNA, BRIANNA, CARLOS, JOSH, TAVIAN, ZACH, BRITANI, ALEX J., SAIDA, RYLIE, CHEYANNE, FERNANDO, DESMOND, AND BECCA! THE WINNERS OF THE DRAWING WERE AJ AND TAVIAN!

SECOND QUARTER IS ALMOST OVER. ALL CLASSWORK AND HOMEWORK IS DUE NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 11TH!

2ND QUARTER REPORT CARDS WILL BE SENT HOME ON DECEMBER 16TH.

Thank you 6th graders for writing Christmas cards and Thank You cards to our troops in Afghanistan. Thanks to Mrs. Schweiger for providing us with card stock, stickers, and for making sure our troops receive them!!!

· Monday – Science Test Chapt 1. – Living Organisms. Homework: Math Lesson 44; Math Test (re-takes only)

· Tuesday – Math Lesson 45; Social Studies Review Chapter 4.

· Wednesday – Math Review Study Quiz

· Thursday – Math Test – Lessons 40-45

· Friday – Spelling/Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension on “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. (see attached spelling list) Social Studies Test Chapter 4.
